Set up your Party Keg
It's Pretty Simple:
The Keg goes in the Bucket.
Ice it up - for a 50 litre keg you will need 3 - 4 bags of ice.
Drop the hand pump into the valve at the top of the keg and twist a quarter turn to lock it in.
Submerge the beer line into the Ice with the tap accessible.
Pour your Beer
Push the lever on the pump coupler downwards to open the beer valve. It should lock into place. You are now ready to pour.
Simply press the lever on the plastic tap and beer will flow.
Our kegs come pre-pressurised. As you draw beer off the keg, the pressure and the flow rate will drop.
Keep the keg pressurised by pumping 2 or 3 times per glass (or as required) so that the beer continues to flow smoothly.
Once you are finished or the keg is empty, slide the coupler handle backwards - it should spring up and the valve will be disengaged.
Please return the keg, bucket and pump within 14 days to avoid equipment replacement charges.
More about Party Hire
The keg needs to be cold at the time of dispense. If you are unable to keep it refrigerated, store it in a cool place before.
For kegs that have not been refrigerated, you will need to ice them up at least 2 hours prior to dispensing. Additional ice may be required to cool the keg down.
If beer does not flow and the keg is not empty, check that the coupler is fully engaged with the lever locked down.
If beer flows too slowly, pump the keg until flow returns. It has been insufficiently pumped during dispensing. Depending on the flow rate and contents, it could take quite a few pumps to repressurise the keg.
Please help us keep our gear in order by returning the equipment within 14 days.
If not returned within that period Keg Time may charge your booking credit card for the replacement cost of the equipment.
(Equipment must be returned to a staff member during Brewery trading hours Wed - Fri, and must not be left unattended in beer garden or outside the venue.)
